Meet Brian Scott
A dedicated leader committed to serving the people of Pinellas County with integrity, experience, and a vision for a brighter future.

Background & Experience
Brian Scott is the President of Escot Bus Lines, a family-owned transportation company headquartered in Pinellas County that operates throughout the State of Florida. Under Brian's leadership, the company has grown substantially, expanding its service territory from Miami to Tallahassee, increasing its workforce to hundreds of employees, and growing its fleet from just a handful of buses to more than 70. As a business owner and job creator, Brian understands firsthand which policies help local businesses grow and which policies hold them back.
Public Service
Brian also brings extensive experience in public service. He currently serves on the Pinellas County Commission, where he represented District 2 and served as Chairman of the Pinellas County Commission in 2025. During his tenure as Chairman, Brian focused on responsible budgeting, improving efficiency in county government, and protecting taxpayers. Under his leadership, the Commission lowered the county's millage rate while working to identify and reduce government waste, helping keep Pinellas County one of the most fiscally responsible counties in Florida.
Transportation & Business Advocacy
Brian's background uniquely bridges the private sector and public service. He has served as a Director of the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) and as President of the Florida Motorcoach Association, advocating for transportation businesses and workers across the state. He has also testified before Congress on transportation and regulatory issues impacting small businesses and the tourism economy.
A Florida Story
Originally born in New York, Brian moved to Florida with his family in search of greater opportunity, building a multi-generation family business rooted in hard work and community involvement. Seeing firsthand the difference between high-tax, overregulated states and Florida's pro-growth policies inspired Brian to get involved in public service to help preserve the opportunities that brought his family here.
Personal Life
Outside of his professional and public service roles, Brian is an avid runner and triathlete dating back to his days on the track team at Seminole High School. He has completed numerous races ranging from 5Ks to marathons and Ironman competitions.
Today, Brian remains committed to strengthening Pinellas County through responsible fiscal management, support for local businesses, and policies that keep the community a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
